Admission Criteria for Different Regions

Eligibility for applicants with domicile in Balochistan, Sindh (specifically, District Tharparkar and Omar Kot), Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir (Upper Neelam Valley), and FATA includes a minimum of 65% marks.

Foreign Educational Qualifications:

Individuals with foreign qualifications, such as “O’ Level and ‘A’ level,” are mandated to obtain an Equivalence Certificate and mark conversion from the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad.

 This certificate must be submitted along with the application.

Hope Certificates:

  • Prospective candidates who have completed the FSc Part-I Examination with a minimum of 70% marks and are awaiting results for the FSc Part-II/Final Examination can apply with “Hope Certificates” issued by the Head of their institutions.
  •  Such candidates must promptly submit an attested copy of their FSc Part II Certificate/Mark Sheets to PA Directorate (PA-3C) General Headquarters (GHQ) Rwp within 5 days of the result announcement.
  •  Failure to comply will lead to the non-consideration of their selection.

Ineligibility Conditions

  • Individuals who have been declared “Not Recommended” twice by the Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)/ General Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board.
  • Individuals declared medically UNFIT by CMH (Combined Military Hospital) or Appeal Medical Board.
  • Individuals declared medically UNFIT due to Hepatitis B & C. (Appeal Medical Board cannot be requested in this case.)
  • Enrolled cadets and recruits who were withdrawn, resigned, discharged, or dismissed from Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force) training academies/institutions on the grounds of discipline, character, medical reasons, inefficiency, weak profile, own request, or declared unsuitable.
  • Individuals who have been dismissed or removed from any other government service.
  • Individuals convicted by a Court of Law for an offense involving moral turpitude.

  • To Join the Pak Army Medical Cadet, Visit the Pak Army Official website https://www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk/  or Submit your application by visiting the Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCS).

Selection Procedure

Intelligence Test

  • After successful registration Applicants will be invited for an intelligence test.
  • The intelligence/personality tests and interviews by the General Headquarters (GHQ) selection board at Army Medical College, Rawalpindi, through the website and call-up letters.
  • The written test will include multiple-choice questions from English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. 
  • Successful candidates in the written test will undergo physical and medical tests at AS&RCs.

Physical Tests

The selected individuals following the Intelligence test will undergo a series of physical assessments.

To successfully pass to the next stage, candidates are required to meet the criteria for the following physical tests:

  • 1.6 Km Run – Completion within 8 minutes
  • Push-Ups – Achieve 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Sit-Ups – Accomplish 20 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Pull-Ups – Execute 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Ditch Crossing – Navigate a ditch measuring 7.4″ x 7.4″ and 4″ deep

Further Selection Process

  • Medical examination of recommended candidates will be carried out at nearby Combined Military Hospitals (CMHs). 
  • Final selection will be made at General Headquarters (GHQ) based on the candidate’s overall performance.

Academic Military Training:

Upon completion of the final professional examination, individuals undergo a 22-week Basic Military Training (BMT) at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul before proceeding to their respective fields:

Medical Program (MBBS):

The medical program spans five years and is conducted at various Army Medical Colleges situated in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Quetta, Karachi, Bahawalpur, Kharian, and Multan.

Selected candidates will ultimately need to sign a commitment to serve in the Army for a minimum duration of 13 years. The bond becomes applicable upon the successful completion of the MBBS Degree Course at the respective Medical College.

Dental Program (BDS):

The dental program consists of a four-year course offered at the Army Medical College Rawalpindi.
